Thu 30 Jun - Evening @ the Heartbreak Hotel

On arriuval, its very hot, we unload the bike, the van, grab a beer from the back of the van, have a debrief on the day/breiefing on whats what with the hotel and some tips on where to go , where to eat etc. Jan gives out the room keys and off we go. We're in room 304 (Hmm, that easy for me to remember for some reason).

So its Handbrake Hotel, just across the road from Gracelands, and the ground floor is definitely themed Elvis. The room has a couple of framed Elvis pictures but other than that it's a typical 3-start hotel room. We're looking over the heart shaped pool, and eveything is here that we might need.

So, we get settled in and then think about where to go to eat.

Just accross the parking lot theres a little group of retail units, one of which is the  "Rock n Roll Cafe' its got to be worth a look. by now its about 7.30. We open the door and ... wowo - that music is loud. There's an Elvis (who else) tribute artist at work. actually he's very good. anyway we take a seat in the dinner area, a bit away from the stage and make our menu choices. Burger with salad for Mrs. K and Burger in Texas toast for me. We both agree that its very tasty and enjoy it.
Not fancying the desert there, we walk a block up the EPB to a Checkers fast food drive thru, where i get a soft ice cream and Mrs. K a delux banana milk shake (they are good at that sort of thing over here)

So, safe trip today, near on 300 miles, and a good meal ends the day.
